| **8th grade earth science students will be going to Jekyll Island March
March 10-12, 2008. We will leave on Monday morning at 5:00am and return on
Wednesday afternoon (6:00 or so). I look forward to this each year. It is
an exciting time for the class.
**Exams count 1/5 of the semester grade for 7th and 8th grade. They count
1/4 for 9th-12th grade. Mrs. Comb's science students will get back their
old tests the week before to use to study. The exam will be made out from
the tests. There will be 100 multiple choice items and 5 discussions to
answer out of 7. Students in grades 9-12 can exempt the exam 2nd semester
if the student has an A on the first semester exam, an A first semester, and
an A average 2nd semester going into the exam. (3rd and 4th 9weeks)
**The 9th grade classes will be doing some difficult labs this year. This
is a college preparatory class, and they will need to stay on top of things
at all times to keep up.
