Are parents welcome?

Absolutely. However, some building coordinators prefer parents to

May we come just to hear the author?

Oh my! You would miss half the fun! There are refreshments, book
sales, and edu-tainment options. Conference attendees recieve
certificates during their sharing sessions.

Can my child come if her school is not participating?

Of course. Check again with the school librarian. Often if a parent
shows interest, teachers and principals rise to the occasion. Your
interest will encourage others to attend.

Can home schoolers participate?

By all means. The Young Authors' Conference is open to children who
bring an original writing sample to share. The child's book is proof
read, polished, and often illustrated and bound by the child himself.
