Welcome to Kindergarten
Just who is Miss Powers?        


Hi! My name is Lois Powers and I LOVE my job!
I've taught Kindergarten for the past 14 years. 
I strongly feel that this year of school sets the
foundation for a child's education and it is where 
my heart is!  I love children at this age ~ they
are so ready to learn.  If I have my way I will 
retire a Kindergarten teacher!



On a professional note...

I graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a 
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  I also 
have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood.  

On a personnal note...

I have a big family, two brothers and one sister. My parents and my 
brothers live here in Birmingham and my sisiter and her family live 
in Dunwoody, GA. I am single, your children are my children!  I love 
Bryers Vanilla Bean ice cream. My favorite resturant is Brio's and I 
love to go to the movies.
