Watch D.O.G.S.

To: All Dads, Step-Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, Big Brothers, and other Men that
want to make a difference in a child's life

From: Top Dog WatchDOGS

First, we would like to thank all of those in attendance for the WatchDOG
Dad and Kids pizza night at Jerry "Pop" Williams Elementary. What an amazing
turnout! We had to order 80 pizzas to feed the 400 plus
dads,grandpas,uncles, big bothers, children, etc.

For those that were unable to attend, we plead with you to join the
WatchDOGS program. Sure, we all have to work and make a living for our
families, however we guarantee that you will not have a more rewarding day,
then if you will spend just one day at school where your child attends.

For most of us, when we were in school if Dad showed up at school, it wasn't
to bring lunch money. There was going to be something to pay, but it wasn't
lunch. HOWEVER, times have changed! Our schools need our help to provide
for additional security, to show our children that we really care, and to
provide for leadership to children who do not have a father figure.

If you did not know already, there have been three school shootings just in
the last three weeks. Please DO NOT sit there and say, "Oh this will not
happen in Farmington." This very program that we are asking you to be a
part of started from a school shooting in Arkansas. Yes, that is right,
this program started days after the shooting in Jonesboro, Arkansas!

We could take up several pages to show you statistics of school violence,
how many children in the US are without father figures, etc., but we will
not do that. We simply have this challenge to those not in attendance at
the pizza party....

We are willing to take a day off from work to be an "extra set of eyes" in
an effort to protect your child.....will you take a day and provide the same
for our child?

Our goal is to have at least one day per day spend an entire day at each
school. We desperately need more men to sign up! If you are interested in
making a difference in a child's live, with essentially only an investment
of time, please call Amy Hutcherson @ 266-1823.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
