Welcome to the Lakeside School District and the Dawson Education Cooperative
ABC Program! We are pleased you and your child will be a part of our program
this year. We are looking forward to a year filled with exciting experiences
for all of you!!
Our hours of operation are from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Your child must be picked up
from school no later than 3:30 p.m. Teacher's kids may arrive at school
beginning at 7 a.m. and must be picked up no later than 4 p.m.
Each child must be brought inside the center and signed in each day as
he/she arrives. Forms for signing in will be in the Pre-K office. Please
make sure that your child's enrollment forms list all persons who may check
your child out from the center. We will not release a child to anyone whose
name is not included on the child's records. Also, please make sure that you
sign your child out of school before leaving the center.
Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided daily for each
child.
Each child will need a complete change of clothing to be left in your
child's classroom. The clothes are necessary in case of accidents or spills.
Please make sure that your child wears comfortable clothing for movement,
play time, and rest time. Due to difficulties encountered when using the
restroom, we request that your child not wear belts, overalls, or bodysuits.
When choosing footwear, remember that the children spend time running and
playing each day. Cowboy boots, built-in roller skates, and shoes with heels
are not allowed. Please dress your child appropriate for cold and hot
weather. Unless temperatures are EXTREME we will be going outside for
recess. Please make sure that your child wears tennis shoes on the day that
they have P.E.
Please make sure that you check your child's Ram folder daily, sign their
behavior sheets, and send them back to school the following day. This is
very important for effective communication between parents and teachers.
