Take Me Down to the Mexican Moon

by Muchacha E.

Take me down to the Mexican moon

where my primos and I used to play

with cold mud like clay

Take me deep to the Mexican moon where

right now I should be with my familia

and my amigas, and all the people that I love

Take me down to the Mexican moon

and leave me there so I won't

ever have to leave behind the

people que mas quiero

Take me deep to the Mexican moon

where all of my roots grip

strongly to my home town

Take me as deep as you can in

the Mexican moon and don't ever

call me back here, leave me where

I belong in the Mexican moon

and in my Mexican raza
