Everyone who know how to read has it in their power to magnify themselves, multiple the ways in which they exist, to make their life full, significant, and interesting. - Aldous Huxley

Reading is such a vital part of our children's education. Everything else is
based on this one skill. There are five parts to this process: phonics,
phonemic awareness, comprehension, vocabulary and fluency. Fluency is the
ability to put expression and feelings into one's oral reading. It is also
the smoothness with which one reads. Even reading punctuation correctly is
included in this skill. Children that have this skill perfected are better
readers.
"Twenty minutes of daily reading significantly increases a student's
reading achievement."

One of our goals each month is to inspire you to read --- and to keep reading.
