You're welcome in our Media Center!

Passes: Passes are not required before school. Teachers may issue passes to
the media center during the school day for individual reference or project
help when scheduled classes are not attending the media center.

Responsibilities: Students should be doing something productive. Do it in a
way that allows others to be productive. Be respectful of other people and
their property.

Recommendations: Students and staff are encouraged to recommend titles of
books. Submit your recommendations to a Media Center staff member.

Overdue notices: Notices are sent to students through their Advisory class.
Students who have overdue books are not permitted to check out more books
until the overdue materials are returned, or paid for.

Lost Books: Students who lose books must pay the replacement costs before
checking out new books.
Students are asked to return books on time; this allows them to choose
another book, and it allows other students to read the book.

Books may be renewed if there is no hold on them. Books can be placed on
hold by students or teachers.

Our library works best when you return materials promptly so that others may
use them. Check out what you need, use it, and return it. We ask that you
take care of the books while they are checked out to you.

Objectives of the Library

1. Promote reading for all students, teachers, and staff.

2. Provide a quiet, comfortable environment for student and teacher
   reading, studying, and computer use.

3. Reinforce library usage skills, both by teaching lessons and
assisting students, individually, to find needed materials.

4. Assist teachers with research and other projects for their students.

5. Purchase and maintain books, equipment, programs, and other materials
that will benefit students, teachers, and staff.
