Ms. Miller was born and raised in Stockton, California. After she graduated
from college (California State University, Sacramento), she moved to Honolulu,
Hawaii. During her 12 years there she began her teaching career and attended
the University of Hawaii to get her Master of Education degree. She also
holds a teaching credential from the American Montessori Society.
After leaving Hawaii in 1993 she lived in Oregon for a year (it was way too
cold there!), and then moved on to the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
During those years she was happy to be closer to her family. Her wonderful
parents live in Stockton, California, and she has two sisters, two
brother-in-laws, two nieces, two nephews, and one great-nephew. She continued
teaching there for twelve more years, at the 5th grade level.
Ms. Miller moved to Arizona in 2005, and lives at Superstition Mountain. This
year she's happy to be in her 29th year of teaching. She loves living in
Arizona and thoroughly enjoys the students, families and staff of the Barbara
Bush Elementary community.
In her free time Ms. Miller enjoys traveling, photography, and hanging out
with her golden retriever, Otis. She's also trying to learn how to play golf!
