Our first book report is due Monday, October 19th. Students need to
complete five 3x5 cards as follows:
Card #1: Title, author, illustrator(if there is one),and genre
Card #2: Plot
Card #3: Characters, list the main characters AND their traits
Card #4: Setting, place and time period
Card #5: Problem, what is the main problem in the story?

************BOOK REPORTS***********
Our first book report...
Students will need to read a realistic fiction book. I MUST approve all book
selections. It should be a book that is new to your child and not one they
have read before or that you have read to them. Books that have been made
into movies are not allowed.
Reports will be due on October 19th. This will give students 5 weeks to
read their book and complete the report.
The book report format will be reviewed in class. Students will be
completing file cards that focus on setting, plot, character traits, problem
and solution.
