| Homework in the first grade consists of:
Math: Each night,except FRIDAYS, your student will have a math homelink
which should take about 15-20 minutes.
Weekly Homework Packet: Each night your child should read for at least 15
minutes. The packet includes a reading log with spaces for seven books.
These may be books you have read together, books he or she have read to you,
or books you have read to your child.
Also, the homework packet will include a book report/ assignment of some
type. This will vary from week to week. It may be a book report using a form
or it may be a project to be completed as a family using a book as the
basis.
Please remember to use your local resources! Check out books from the
DeGrazia library or go to the local Public library. There is a wealth of
terrific children's literature available at little or no cost at all!
