I have been a teacher since 1972. In the fall of 1972, I began my teaching
career in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as the proud fourth grade teacher of 35
students!
I came to Garden Lakes Elementary school in 1991 as a substitute teacher. I
was hired as a third grade teacher at Garden Lakes in 1992. Walkerdale came
to life in the fall of 1992.
I have four grown daughters and a husband who is a retired high school
teacher and coach. I have 3 cats, several grand-kitties, and 2 boxer puppies.
I was the cheer coach at Garden Lakes from 1993-2005. The district chose to
no longer allow after school activities.:(
Two years ago I was blessed with two grandsons, 18 hours apart and in two
different cities! I was with my Phoenix daughter, Jacqueline, when she gave
birth to Mason, and 3 hours later I was on the plane flying to Albuquerque
to be with my oldest daughter, Ericka, to witness the birth of Jaerik the
next day. What an adventure! Photos are on my Home page!
This past summer I was blessed with another grandson, Logan who joins his
brother Mason and Ericka is once again pregnant with twins due in February!
Kristin, my dance teacher daughter, got married July 17 and is expecting a
little girl in mid May, and Candice, my youngest daughter, a nurse, is
expecting ? in mid June. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!
