Revised 12-9 Students will have a few worksheets relating to periodic table. Please view the planner for details. Revised 12-5 Students should have planners, ID cards each day. Students wwill have worksheet this week regarding the periodic table Students need to have completed and turned in their essay paper and chart regarding the movie, Galileo: On the Shoulders of Giants. Students will write in plannner for any homework given this week. Please view the science fair rubric for the point system: Title 25 points- Have a creative title for the science fair project. Question/Purpose 25 points- Complete, Easily Understood testable Use the six traits rubric. Purpose-Must be a purpose related to the real world. Background Information: 25 points Information directly related to your question should be included. Hypothesis 25 points What you believe will be the outcome of the testable experiment. Do not use pronouns ( I, she, it...) Be as precise and descriptive as you can be. It must be directly related to the question. Use the six traits writing. Materials ( Listed in metric units) 25 points Materials should be listed very specifically and listed in metric units ( cm, m, km, kg ,g, liters....not cups, gallons, miles) Procedures ( Very specific - listed in metric units) 25 Procedures should be listed very specifically, in order, and listed in metric units ( cm, m, km, kg ,g, liters....not cups, gallons, miles) Variables Listed: List the independent and dependent variable 25 points Data: There needs to be at least three trials and thr data should be shown in tables, graphs, charts, pictures , etc. 50 points Analysis 25 points: You should show evidence that you studied the data. Circle, arrows around data charts are examples. Conclusion 25 points: Must be written using the six traits. It must be directly related to the hypothesis and the question: "My hypothesis was correct, because... "My hypothesis was incorrect, because..." Overall Presentation: Is it neat, in order, creative, accurate, great amount of detailed information, typed... 75 points Science Fair paper... This is all of the information on the board that is copied onto an essay typed paper. this should include all charts, graphs, pictures, and a title page 75 points
