I have been teaching for 14 years, 13 of them in the Madison District. I
received my undergraduate degree from the Univeristy of Arizona (3rd
generation Wildcat!!), received my post-baccalaureate from ASW West, and
earned my masters in Educational Leadership from NAU.
I have taught 7th grade math/social studies and 6th grade math/science here
at #1. This year I will continue with teaching math and one section of
Science. I am also the National Junior Honor Society Advisor and involved
with after school tutoring.
I have very high EXPECTATIONS for all my students both academically and
behaviorally. I do believe that all my students can exceed in school if
they strive towards their personal best and put in the effort to learn. I
know that every student can be successful in school if they have the right
tools. I also expect each and every person to be respectful to other people
and their property as well as to the classroom community. I believe that no
one has the the right to interfere with the learning of others or of the
community.
