Classroom Policies

Classroom Expectations:

  • I will arrive on time and ready to learn.
  • I will approach each lesson with a positive attitude.
  • I will always try to do my personal best.
  • I will not interfere with another student's learning.

Behavior Policy:

Students who fail to comply with the classroom expectations will receive the following consequences:

  • Step 1: Conference with teacher
  • Step 2: Loss of privilege
  • Step 3: Phone call to parent/ guardian
  • Step 4: Time-out in another classroom and phone call to parent/ guardian
  • Step 5: Referral to the office

Depending on the nature of the offense, consequences may not necessarily occur in the order listed above.

Absences and Make-up Work:

  • Students are given one day for every day that they are absent to complete all missed class work and homework for full credit.  After that time, assignments will be considered late.  The first day an assignment is late result in a loss of 20% from the original grade given to the student.  Each additional day late will drop the grade another 10%.  Any work not made up will result in a zero.

  • It is the student's responsibility to schedule a time to come in before school or during lunch to make up any missed tests or quizzes.
