General items that all students will need: One dozen sharpened pencils Two reams, 3 hole punched, lined notebook paper *Colored pencils * Hand Sanitizer to share with class Small pencil sharpener One dozen red pens for grading Four highlighters (two different colors) Two pink pearl erasers Two boxes of Kleenex (for homeroom class) *Public Library Card 6th Grade Science: One, 2 inch, 3 ring binder (to remain in class) Three dividers Notebook paper and pencils One duo-tang folder with pockets and clasps 6th Grace Social studies: Two duo-tang folders with pockets and clasps Three spiral notebooks (70 page) 6th Grade Language Arts: Small 3M stickies Two draft books/composition book Two spiral notebooks *One pack of index cards (3x5, white, lined) One duo-tang folder with pockets and clasps Grade Mathematics: One, 2 inch, 3 ring binder (NO Trappers!) Five dividers Two folders with pockets and clasps One flat pencil pouch *Calculator (labeled with first and last name) *One ream of graph paper *Compass *Protractor At the start of the academic school year Math teachers will organize and label sections with their classes. Students may arrive on the first day with the supplies; notebooks need not be put together. These 3-ring binders will be used AND KEPT in class, so not to weigh down backpacks. Notebooks will be streamlined occasionally with teacher supervision and will be collected and assessed on a regular basis.
