1. What is the difference between radio telescopes and optical telescopes?
2. The frequency of electromagnetic radiation is the number of waves that pass
a point in a specific amount of time. If red light has a longer wavelength
than blue light, which would have a greater frequency?
3. It takes light from the closest star to Earth (other than the sun) about
four years to reach us. If there were intelligent life on a planet circling
that star, how long would it take for us to send them a radio transmission and
for us to receive their reply?

1. Make a chart and list 10 items in your home. On the chart include the
following physical properties for each item: color, state of matter, texture
and hardness.
2. Design three symbols hat could be put on containers to warn chemists that a
certain chemical could burn easily and be poisonous and corrosive.
3. Explain why the temperature at which wax melts is a physical property and
not a chemical property.
