The seventh grade AEP class will be concentrating on the novel form this
year. The books are chosen to mirror the student's history curriculum.
We are presently reading When the Legends Die and will hopefully complete
this before our winter break.
We will be writing every week. Students concentrate on the 6 Traits and
creativity in seventh grade writing but will also be introduced to the
academic essay and will write a research paper. Grammar, sentence structure,
and word choice are stressed.
All lessons are planned around the seventh through ninth grade Arizona
State Standards, the National Gifted Standards, and the Arizona Technology
Standards.
