| Hello and welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. I am Miss Zimmer and this
is the website our class will use to keep your family updated to events that
will be taking place throughout the school year. I encourage both students
and parents to use this webpage as a communication tool all year long.
HOMEWORK POLICY: Homework is assigned every night, except Fridays.
Students are to complete all pieces of homework, and return the next school
day. Should a student be missing any part or all of the homework, they will
forfiet their lunch recess to complete the work in the classroom. Students
who do not have their homework are also required to complete a Homework
Accountability Form. After three forms have been acculumated, I will be
contacting parents to set up a conference.
BEHAVIOR POLICY: We follow the classroom community rules - Be Kind, Be
Respectful, and Be Responsible. We have a verbal warning, a check mark in
the behavior log, completion of the Behavior Accountability Form and in
class time out wtih two check marks, completion of another Behavior
Accountability Form and a out of class time out with three check marks, and
then a parent conference for continued repetition of misbehavior. The
students are given a fresh start each week.
STAR STUDENT: One student a week is choosen for Star Student. This is a
random selection. Students will be provided with a poster board to make a
collage with favorite pictures, artwork, and written snapshots of important
items for the student. They will take the poster board home on Friday, and
bring back the beginning of the next week for display all week long. On
Friday, we will have Share and Tell.
