About The Teacher

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Vasquez and I will be your child's 1st grade 
teacher.  I have been blessed with a wonderful husband of twelve years and 
two fantastic kids.  My son is 21 years old and is a member of the armed 
forces.  He was recently deployed to Iraq, where he is currently serving as 
a medic.  My daughter is 6 years old and she is active in various activities 
offered throughout our community.
I am passionate about education, especially the education of children.  I 
truly believe that every child is a valuable and deserving member of our 
society, capable of great success.  I feel that one of the most important 
things to impart to a child is a sense of self-efficacy and self-worth.  As 
a teacher, my accomplishments will not be measured by degrees, tenure, or 
position, but by the acheivements of my students and their future success.
