About The Teacher
I was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University. My heart belongs to any Philadelphia professional sports team (Go Phillies), however, I enjoy watching all teams.I moved to Surprise, AZ with my wife Shawna in 2002. I have two daughters, Avery who is 5 1/2, and Quinn who is 11 months. They are the spark in my fire! This year will be my 6th year teaching at PEC, first year joining the 7th gr team. I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities from sports to camping and offroading. I am excited to say that this year all 7th grade students will have PE every day, all year long. My goal is to provide students with knowledge, skills, values, and the enthusiasm to maintain a healthy lifestyle into adulthood. Activities included are designed to promote physical fitness, to develop motor skills, to instill knowledge and understanding of rules, concepts, and strategies. Students learn to either work as part of a team, or as individuals. In addition to our sport units, we will play various cooperative games, tag games, and a variety of creative ball games throughout the year. I look forward to another successful year teaching your child.
