Welcome back from spring break everyone.  Hope we all had a wonderful and 
relaxing break with family and friends and spent lots of time outside!  This 
time of year is one of my favorites because the weather is so beautiful.  This 
last quarter in PE we will be focusing on 3 different units.  We will begin the 
first 3 weeks doing baseball/softball skills.  Students will be working on 
throwing, catching, hitting, and playing small sided games related to 
baseball/softball.  In our second unit we will be working on hockey skills.  
Students will be learning how to correctly hold their stick, pass, dribble, and 
shoot the hockey puck as well as playing small sided games.  Our last unit we 
will be working on frisbee skills.  Students will practice throwing and catching 
as well as playing fun games like ultimate frisbee and frisbee golf.  This last 
quarter we will also introduce the Sunwise program.  Students will be able to 
identify sun safe practices and hopefully apply throughout life to reduce the 
risks of skin related diseases.  We all know how important that is living in the 
sunny state of Arizona!
