Our final theme this year is Arizona:  Past and Present.  What can we  learn from Arizona's past to  help us in our world today?  May 7-11, 2010 We continue to work on our scrapbooks to prepare for our culminating event! Reading:  We will be reading in our Arizona book how the Territory of Arizona is moving toward statehood. Writing:  Students will begin writing a letter to President Taft, convincing him to consider reasons why Arizona  deserves to be a state. Math:   Continue to review and extend learning about decimals to the hundredths place value, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals!  We also continue to review all 4th grade society.   Spelling:  Core words are alone, bottom, check, reading, and fall.     Social Studies:   Students continue reading in Arizona book and learning Arizona history.
