About The Teacher
Welcome to my webpage. I am thrilled to be the Middle School Librarian for my 6th year here at PEC. I am the Library Teacher for 5th and 6th grade. I also will be teaching Literature Appreciation and the Teacher Assistant program/class as part of the the new "ELECTIVES" in 7th and 8th grade. The Library classes will be introduced to different literature and library research skills. Yes, they learn how to use the library correctly. Your students will also learn what tools they can use to research different situations. Sixth graders will be reseach tools and skills to help that will help them through their projects in other classes. Fifth graders will be introduced to different award winning stories and will work on reading comprehension as well as library skills. The Teacher Assistant program covers Arizona Work Place Skills. Students learn how to fill out a job application, Résumé and even go through an interview experience. During the term I have your child, they get to help out a teacher on campus and demonstrate Good Character Traits. The Literature Appreciation class is a new class offered that I am really excited about. Students with a passion for reading will be able to read a variety of different books discuss them in class.
