September 27th

SCHOLASTIC is up and running.  Click on our Scholastic button on the web page to order.  

The parent user name is: Laragene and the password is: parent11.   Scholastic books add books to our classroom and last year our points bought our beautiful Book Corner chairs.  

 

If you are trying to log in to our Flickr photostream, I have found that you must sign up for a yahoo account, than go to flickr, sing in with your yahoo account password, in the next window go to the bottom where it says activity and click on From your friends.  This is an invitation only site.  Right now you may not download or upload images or make comments.  We may choose to place these  photos in a private invitiation only group.  Now they are not searchable either.  Thanks to Dylan's dad who has been using Flickr for awhile I figured this out.  Please email me if you are able to log on and let me know.  This way I can make sure all parents have access with the correct email.  My email account from Flickr is my yahoo account.  I apologize to those that did not hear from me before.  The mail from Flickr was headed to a different account that I didn't check very often.  Now all is well.

A GIANT thank you to parents that have started dusting!  This is such a huge help to our class, so thank you.

Another big thank you to Natalie's Mom for making some great aprons that will help these little ones stay clean and dry....most of the time.

Owen's Dad Tim has volunteered to do Art Masterpiece and we will be putting that program together this Month. This is a program funded for Kindergartners that explores the Master works. 

Thank you to Moms and Dads that came on their Saturday morning and helped cut and paste and laminate! It was nice morning with the Beatles and  good conversation.  

Thank you so much for keeping lunches healthy with easy to open reusable containers, and cloth napkins!  Some of the children are quite conscious and comment on being able to use the containers again and again, rather than throwing them away. Do double check with your children that their thermos is keeping food hot.  I have found that if you let very hot water sit in the container while you heat your food, it will keep food warmer longer. Please send any other lunch tips to me and I will include them on our website.

 

**Remember to include SNACK on pizza Friday for those children that will be joining us for snack at 2:30**
