I have been the lead teacher of the Infant Program at Villa for over a year. Prior to becoming the lead teacher, I worked as an assistant in Montessori infant and toddler classrooms for a little over 7 years. I conducted part of my Montessori training in NY and part of it here in AZ, and I am currently in the process of completing my infant/toddler training. I have a daughter, Bella, who is in the pre-primary program here at Villa.
The infant program at Villa Montessori seeks to be a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment for the young child. A home-away-from-home where independence is encouraged, guidance is readily available and respect for the individual development is foremost. We acknowledge the family as the most important people in an infant's life and therefore strive to work together with parents for the good of the developing child. We consider our highest work to be for peace and humanity, one child at a time.
