Updates for Week of October 19

This is the start of a new Cycle! On the Weldon campus the 8th graders have 
started the Baby, Think It Over program.

Chandon is requesting feedback about the past Land Lab, please feel free to 
give any feedback, good or bad to chandon@afterCOOLfitness.com . Thanks!

Don't forget the Halloween Carnival, Oct. 24 from 5-9 at the Meadowbrook 
campus.

For 8th graders, a list of high schools and information nights is posted to 
the left.

Also: 
•-A list of Internship locations we’ve used in the past in case your student 
is having difficulty finding and internship site (some of these sites might 
also be receptive to having students serve their extra 10 community service 
hours at their location for Heroic Journey Level 2)

•Also, check out these links to the two volunteer opportunity websites for 
other community service opportunities: http://www.volunteerism.com and 
http://www.handsonphx.org

•If you know of a site that would welcome either interns from our school for 
the dates listed on the middle school calendar or welcome having a student 
come and perform 10 hours of community service, please let us know so that we 
can help parents with that information.

•If you have any names for council members (Council of Elders), please send 
Mary at Weldon (mreimanis@villamontessori.com) or Christine at Oak 
(cdavis@villamontessori.com) the information.
