This week we began our unit on Nursery rhymes. The children are enjoying
learning some of the classic rhymes as we practice many important pre-reading
skills. Rhyming is a very difficult concept for some children, but it is a
vital skill to learn. We have been practicing with different rhyming
activities, silly songs, and games. Please take some time to work with your
child on rhyming words. Perhaps pull out those Mother Goose and Dr. Seuss
books!
Homework went home today and can be found in the red Clifford folders. I am
using a Monday-Friday format, however, feel free to mix up the acitivities
and do them as convenient for your own schedule. Homework is due on Friday
but can be turned in early. If you have any questions about the homework
please contact me.
