Why do I have to learn Government?

You must study government to be an informed member of this society, a 
democracy only works if its citizens are informed on the running of its 
government.  Do I have to go on?

Is this class required to graduate high school?

Yes.  You must take World History (1 year), U.S. History (1 year), and U.S. 
Government (1 semester) to fulfill your social studies requirements.

Do I have to come to class every day?

Yes.  In order to succeed in this or any other class you must be in class 
every day, if not you will miss out on important information that you will 
need to pass the class.

Do I have to be to class on time everyday?

Yes.  If you are tardy you will not only disrupt class, but you will receive 
an hour detention.

Do I have to take notes and do all the work?

Yes.  If you want to pass this or any other class.

Do I have to follow the school and classroom rules?

Yes.  If you don't want to get in trouble (Detention, OCR, Suspended, or 
Expelled)

Do I have to like you or this school?

No.  But you should.  You have a teacher that cares about you and a brand 
new school with brand new facilities.
