Mrs. Thom

I graduated from UBC with a 5 year Bachelor of Education degree and have been
working in the educational field for 33 years. Previously, I was a high/middle
school teacher and Gr. 5/6 educator at Nicomekl and Noel Booth Elementary. I
live in Walnut Grove, so it had been a goal of mine to one day teach at a

Greenwood three years ago. Working with and teaching children continues to be
my passion. My husband and I have two daughters who graduated from the Langley
Fine Arts School. Shelby is a broadcast journalist for CKNW in Vancouver, and
Breanna has just finished her last year of studies at UBCO in Kelowna. I am really
looking forward to being in the classroom and having another positive
educational experience with my students, colleagues, and parent community at
Gordon Greenwood!

Biologist and I hope to share my enthusiasm for Science and research-based

and Arwen (almost 2). I feel fortunate to be a part of a school with such a
positive and collaborative school community and look forward to another great
