Mrs. Thom

I graduated from UBC with a 5 year Bachelor of Education degree and have been working in the
educational field for 30 years. Previously, I was a high/middle school teacher and Gr. 5/6
educator at Nicomekl and Noel Booth Elementary. I live in Walnut Grove, so it had been a goal of mine to
one day teach at a school closer to home, and fortunately I was able to make the move to Gordon
Greenwood. Working with children continues to be my passion and I love coaching volleyball,
basketball, and track and field. My husband and I have two daughters who graduated from the Langley
Fine Arts School. Shelby is a broadcast journalist in Vancouver, and Breanna attends UBCO in Kelowna. I
look forward to another positive educational experience with my students, colleagues, and the parent
community at Gordon Greenwood!

Ms. Webster

I graduated in 2011 from SFU with my Bachelor of Education degree and was fortunate to get hired in
the Langley School District, where I have worked for the past two years. I have always enjoyed teaching
and working with children and have worked hard to follow my passions and turn them into a career. In
addition to teaching, I am also a volunteer coach for the Special Olympics and Rhythmic
Gymnastics team, which I have done for the past five years. Last year I taught at Gordon Greenwood
teaching a few different grades, and I am pleased to be returning to the staff for this school year. I look
forward to meeting everyone and having a great school year together!
