A school cafeteria is never quiet, especially not at Laketon Elementary School; but in No Talking by Andrew Clements that is exactly what happens.  The fifth grade class has long been known as the “unshushables” by all the teachers, and suddenly there is no talking at all—by any of them!  It all starts with Dave Packer and his interest in Ghandi’s days of silence.  The idea grows and grows and suddenly a contest is born.  Boys versus girls—no talking for 2 days—and what happens will surprise everyone!

Silent Reading to you,

Mrs. Barton

If a book is checked out of the library you can always fill out a request form--that way when the book comes back, I'll set it aside just for you!
