A triumph or sucess that I have done this quarter is passing my Allusion Workshop Quarter 2 Test with a B+. I was really proud of my self when I recieved my test back in class. I was already confident that I would pass because I had studied. I am also proud of myself because I am confident that I passed my Physics and Business class exams. A failure that I have recieved this quarter is not turning in my AP and Physics papers on time. I had technical difficulties, but one thing I will not do is make any excuses because I am responsible for my own actions. What I look forward to in 3rd quarter is doing my very best to complete projects and having a clean slate.

A success and triumph, that I did tis quarter was becoming more organized. I started writting important things and assignments on my calender, which helped me a little with my procrasinating habit. In addition, being organized help me to my MGRP and other multiple major assignments. A disappointment from second quarter is on some assignments, I feel as though I didn't do the best I could of done, I am disappointed that I slack on my work. The one thing that I am looking forward to in the third quarter is improving my organization more and finishing strong. My personal goal for the third quarter is to get back on Honor Roll and improving my quality of my work.

To Amber, I am happy that you took the time and preperation to studied and as a result you pass your quarter 2 test for AP. Some advice for when you expeirence technical difficulties, which we all been in the same situation, if you are having problems at home with you comuter, just try to send it to your email and the liberary is most of the time open in the morning or at lunch, try and print your assignments at least a day or two early so you won't have to worry about any problems in turning your paper a day late.

A triumph from the second quarter was recognizing that I was not giving 110% and picking up the slack. I am disappointed at my work ethic. I believe that I was too casual about my work, not as serious as I used to be, but this will not be the case for the rest of the school year.
For the third quarter I am looking forward to intro to speech because I believe I will have a better outcome than in my art class. Also, I am looking forward to the poetry unit in AP lit. and what AP government has to offer.
Although my grades overall did not reflect my work ethic, I am aware of my potential and what I gave in the second quarter. My goal for the third quarter is to get focused and give my all.

A triumph I can say I had was understanding the work more thoroughly. I became more interested and involved in the topics and class overall. A failure I had was that I still did not participate like I wanted to nor did I excel to stand out. Also a disappointment could be the Allusion Workshops. I did well on most of them but some were confusing which made it hard to understand. In the third quarter I am looking forward to be prepared more than I was before. I want to be able to see myself passing the AP exam and doing well. I want to be confident. Also I want to also improve in my writing and looking forward for that phase to change. A personal goal I have is to keep others out of my direction. I tend to let other people’s actions affect my attitude which seem to show. My top personal goal is to also try to receive a high grade in the tough class of AP government.

For the first semester I was disappointed and proud of myself. First quarter, I was disappointed because I failed but I had no one else to blame but myself. For the second quarter I really put a lot of effort in becoming a better AP student. One triumph I made was actually getting a 100 percent on an allusion workshop quiz. Seems small but I’ve been battling these allusions for awhile and I finally conquered them. A disappointment I had was when everyone had seemed to pull off a C and I pulled out an F. I know it was first quarter but still I can’t fail again, reason I am trying to do everything I can to pass but also understand the material. In March, I am looking forward to a new start. A personal goal I have is to have my scholarships filled out.

A success I had this quarter was earning an A- on my Allusion Workshop Test as well as earnign a B on my exam. I felt as though I worked hard this and I plan on keeping the same mentaily for the second semester. Another accomplishment I achieved was reading my novel for my MGRP paper. Most of the time I would read and then get lazy with the last two chapters and just skim the book, but I actually planned out my analysis and how I was going to go by it in order to complete the task at hand. A goal I have for the third quarter is to concentrate more on the work and start actually using the elements to my advantage when it comes to assignments being given.

I would consider a triumph to be my grade on quarter two Allusion Workshop test. I consider this a success because I received an 89% on the test. A failure for this quarter was my second part of my MGRP because after submitting this assignment I realized how much more I could have added to the project. I am looking forward to anything in the third quarter. To be honest I am looking forward to the end of the quarter so that I will not be so stressed.

A triumph I have encountered was the ability to outwardly admit that English is now one of my most complicated projects.

A failure that I have encountered was the fear of failing 12th grade English. This is a failure because I am suppose to be confident even when I know the real deal, but this time, I was not as confident.

However, I am looking forward to doing most, if not , ALL of my work for English because I have to graduate.

A personal goal is learning from my first semester mistakes.

A triumph I had during second quarter was me being able to recover from missing days of school. I received my make up work in a timely manner and completed the necessary assignments. A huge failure I had was not completing my MGRP. I should have had a backup plan in the case of me losing my items, but I was not prepared for that. I am looking forward to mastering the Poetry Unit and being successful again. My personal goal is to earn a B in the class.

I feel as if I triumphed in actually reading everything this quarter as I was not up to date with my allusion workshop readings all the time in the first nor was I with the readings. I also proud of the fact that I actually read a playwright for my MGRP paper and did not have to use sparknotes or cliff notes to finish the reading which helped me to give a better analysis of the work and this is one more that I am now familiar with. Going into the second semester I have a mindset of wanting to finish strong. Having already solidified where I would like to attend college I feel like I owe it to myself to show prove that I can actually master a workload versus just settling for a passing grade. I would rather get a B knowing that I worked my hardest versus obtaining a grade just to pass and walk across stage. I am also very excited about the poetry unit coming up as I am hoping to gain knowledge from this and improve as a writer/artist.

@Katia, you are very smart and a strong person. I’m not one to give advice but I think you should be your own individual more, and make your own decisions when it comes to your work. If you want to pass as much as the next person does that by being your own person and let no one affect you.

A triump this quarter was actually studying for the first time. This was a success for me because I've never studied before and although it was difficult to do it helped me to pass the test. I am dissapointed with my attendance because I am either late or absent from class and my tardies are not helping my learning. I see how I am falling behind and next quarter my goal is to get to school on time everyday so I can be punctual for class. In the second quarter I am looking forward to understanding the poetry lessons because in the past reading and understanding poetry has been a struggle for me.

I agree with Collecha because I also slacked on my MGRP assignment. In the future maybe starting earlier would allow more time to re-read the assignment and also let a teaher read it so you can have constructive feedback in order to submit the best quality work.

In response to Ambre I am proud that you studied for the test, because studying does not come easily for some people like myself. Not making excuses is very important because tend to find myself doing the same thing.

In response to Nia, that is a great goal, but by saying "if not all..." it's like you're doubting yourself. Have more confidence because you can do it.

I believe that a personal success this quarter was my improvement in physics. i started to study more and learn my units which is something that I had struggled with for a while. One disappointment is how my grade dropped in Pre Calculus, I am still passing, but my grades aren't where they should be. I had a hard time with the material that we learned this quarter and I failed to go to the right amount of office hours for clarification. I'm looking forward for the remainder of the school year and more college acceptance letters, preferably to College Park which is my top school. One personal goal for me for this quarter is to not obtain any C's on my progress reports/ report cards.

A success I have made in the second quarter is doing a great job in my allusion workshops, sustaining an acceptable grade and completing my MGRP despite my difficuoties. A disappointment I have made this quarter is my absences in my class. What i look forward to doing for the next quarter is getting an even higher grade than I do now. A personal goal for the third quarter is to work on my absences and do an even better job with my MGRP.

A disappointment for me during this semester was test taking. My test averages for the first two quarters were low. A success for me during this quarter was getting my allusion workshop average up. I passed the last quiz with a 100% and the test with an 88%. In the third quarter, I am looking forward to much more studying and seriousness from myself. For this semester, my goal is to study every night.

@ Katia, Your going to do great. I admire your determination. Maybe we can help each other, I like learning about the stories in our Allusion workshops.

@ Rashad I think taking advantage of Mr. B's writing workshop can help you become more motivated and confident with doing your MGRP

I agree with Collecha comment because a strong performance is needed in the second semester to rebound. I encourage her to stay focus and use all of the resources available to succeed.

I agree with Markieta's comment because studying was also difficult for me. Now I realize I have to in order to succeed. I encourage Markieta to study more because it is very important now and will be in college as well.
