Third, fourth, and fifth graders at Riverside School have successfully completed the "iPad Reading Challenge." Congratulations, Riverside! Students were challenged to read five MCBA books in order to win a new iPad for the Riverside School library. The iPad will be donated by the Horace Mann Companies in Danvers in support of literacy and in support of the Danvers Public Schools. Thank you, Horace Mann! Students at Riverside who have not yet read their five books may continue reading until May 31 in order to attend the MCBA celebration party.

Each year Danvers fourth and fifth graders participate in the Library of Congress's Letters about Literature program. This year we have two semi-finalists selected from over 4,300 letters from Massachusetts students! A fifth grader at Thorpe School and a fourth grader from Riverside School will be honored at their schools. Congratulations Becky and Savannah! We are very proud of you!
