The new Mass. Children's Book Awards booklist was released today! Check the MCBA page on this website for a list of the 2011~2012 books. These 25 books are on the summer reading list for fourth and fifth grade. The earlier you start reading, the more summer books you can read! Enjoy!

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. Librarians and reading teachers are preparing the summer reading list for Danvers elementary students. The theme of this year's summer reading program, in conjunction with the Peabody Institute Library, is "One World, Many Stories," a multi-cultural book theme. In addition, many of the books on this year's list are Kids' Choice books chosen by Danvers students. Students are recommending their favorite books for inclusion on the summer reading list! In other May news, fourth and fifth graders are still reading MCBA books in order to qualify for end-of-year celebrations. We can't wait to celebrate our super readers!
