Ahhhhh, the holidays!

Love, love, love Christmas (and the days off from school, too!)

        We all know and love Christmas, but now we're going to learn about some less familiar holidays that many people celebrate all around the globe.  For the next three weeks, merit students will be getting a whirlwind tour of holidays all over the world.  We'll be studying about different people, celebrations, customs, traditions, and languages.  Of course, while we have fun learning, we'll be improving our own vocabulary as well -- myself included! 

        Thanksgiving ~ my favorite holiday!  (I think it's because it's such a nice long break with tons of delicious food and time for some great family fellowship!)
        Anyway, during the next 3 weeks, we'll be learning lots in merit class about American history, Pilgrims, Native Americans, and Colonial Times.  Who knows what interesting things we may learn.... and  I say "we" because I'm always learning, too!
