    Ooh La La! An Evening in Paris!

    This evening our dads and their daughters were whisked across the Atlantic to La Ville-Lumiere -- The City of Light - Paris.  The theme of this year's annual Daddy-Daughter Dance was "An Evening in Paris, and the school lobby and gym were transformed into that beautiful city, complete with a towering Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.  There was also a sidewalk cafe.  It was a special evening, and the girls decorated miniature Eiffel Towers to give to their special fellas.  The event was magnifique and merveilleux!  More photos will be uploaded to Mrs. Leahy's website early next week.

    The band concert is only a week away. The members of the school band and the jazz band have been rehearsing, and they sound phenomenal! They jam on Monday, May 20th at 7 p.m.  Be there or be square!

    Mother's Day Celebrations

    The Pre-K 4 and the Pre-K 3 classes held celebrations today in honor of their mothers. Their moms were delighted by the special performances of poems and songs. We would like to wish all our moms a very Happy Mother's Day!

    Intramurals - Dodgeball

    Dodgeball is one of the most popular intramural sports offered at St. Martin's.  The gym looked like a giant pinball machine this afternoon as almost 50 students threw and dodged the colorful balls flying around the room.

    Student Government Cleanup

    Mrs. Papineau and the representatives of the Student Government met this afternoon to do a little "spring cleaning" around the grounds of the school.  We are grateful to these students for the many community service projects they perform during the school year.

    Following the May procession, the 8th grade class gathered in front of the statue of the Blessed Mother and posed for a class portrait.  The countdown to graduation begins.

    O Mary We Crown Thee with Blossoms Today

    What a glorious day to honor our Blessed Mother!  The May procession was held this morning, and all of the students gathered at the statue of Mary near the rectory to watch her crowning.  The students prayed a decade of the rosary and sang several Marian songs.  Our second grade students were dressed in their First Communion outfits.

    2nd Grade First Communion Service

    Mrs. Papineau's and Mrs. Pratt's 2nd grade classes held a prayer service today in anticipation of their First Communion tomorrow.  Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare to receive Jesus for the first time.

    Feeding the Hungry

    Each 4th Friday of the month, Mrs. Maggiacomo's Pre-K 4 class collects canned food as part of the "Living Our Faith" program.  They bring their items over to the church and add them to the food collected for the Knights of Columbus' monthly food drive.
