Many people imply Zen Buddhism into their lives more than they know because many don't rely on 'faith' as we know it, to finish their tasks. We as Christians can imply faith when we take a test because we can pray to God to help us on it. Rather in Zen Buddhism, you don't pray to God to do good on the test, because you know your success only relies on your own doings.
I think is important to follow the teachings of Zen today. Our lives are so busy that we forget how to live in the here and now. When we take a test, we should forget about everything else going on around us and just concentrate on the test. When we play a video game, we should enjoy the game and immerse ourselves in it. While standing in line at a store, we should try not to be impatient but try to relax and enjoy not having anything else to do. When swinging a baseball bat, we should think only about the ball and not be distracted by other things. Live in the moment.
I do think that Zen can be a part of everyday life. The reason for this is because it helps with life. All the teachings in zen buddhism are ways to live your life. You can adapt zen to almost anything.
I think the most important lesson that Zen teaches us is the virtue of patience. It is never too late to learn how to be patient with others, and is put to work in almost everything we do. Whether we are helping someone understand something, running a race, in a long line, or playing video games, if we want to be productive and use our time wisely we need to be patient. Otherwise we would just stress ourselves out and that helps no one.
Yes i do believe zen can be a part of everyday life, you just have to be very graceful and peaceful in the things you do, take your time and work on things instead of rushing and only focusing on competition and winning. you have to know self discipline and be able to meditate to achieve peace
Zen can definitely be a part of everyday life as we live it today. You can use Zen to keep calm while taking a test. Also, you can use it to know not to cheat. Zen teaches you to play fair and to do things out of the goodness of your heart; not for a reward. Zen also teaches you to be a good sport and not to judge people by their earthly wealth, but by their actions.
I think Zen can be a part of everyday life. While doing things always do them to the best of your ability and be peaceful.
Yes I do believe that Zen is a part of everyday life because doing all that is essential to us to fully complete everyday life.
I think that Zen teachings can be achieved in everyday life. Although many people now are focused on their own personal achievment, it is not hard to live for others and encourage their advancement. Particularly when playing video games or sporting events, although they are about winning, it is much more beneficial to learn to work as a team and exhibit your own skills.
I think that zen can be applied to everyday life. Zen is being calm and meditating. If we apply this to things in our daily life the. We could be more calm and focus more on life.
Zen can be incorporated to every part of life. While taking a test in school, Zen can be incorporated by remaining calm during the test and realizing that if you do not so so well on this one test, the world will not come to an end. Zen can be adapted to playing the Wii by not getting to competitive because it is only just a game and you should play it to have fun, not to win. While standing in line at a store Zen can be incorporated by having patience and not feeling rushed. While playing another sport Zen can be incorporated by keeping calm during the game and not letting your emotions get the better of you.
Zen can be a part of our everyday lives. For taking a test, you can stay calm to keep yourself from hurrying and making mistakes. When you're standing in line at the store, you can be patient and nice. In playing any sport you can calm yourself, stay focused, and practice good sportsmanship.
I would teach Zen how to take a test and how to play the game. Also how to adapt to everyday life like going ot school doing homeworking and studying. Also how to use a cell phone.
Yes, I do think zen can be connected to life in modern times. It can be connected to things like taking a test by integrating self-discipline to resist the urge to cheat. Or something.
