    3rd Grade Thoughts

    Dear Class,
     
    We've been in school together a little over 2 months.  What do you think of 3rd grade so far  Is there something you really love about your classroom, teacher, or friends?  Tell me all about what you think!  I can't wait to hear from you.

    Summer Fun

    Dear Class,

    I hope your summer was full of fun.  It's hard to believe it's time to start another school year.  Over the summer I spent a lot of time making my new house my "home". So, yes I was shopping almost daily at Target, Home Depot or Bed, Bath and Beyond. I did go on vacation to spend time with my parents in Mammoth Creek, Utah. I took my new dog, Harley.  It was his first traveling vacation, and he went crazy over trying to chase the squirrels in the forest. He even growled at the deers he spotted at night as we made S'mores over a campfire.  I'd like to hear all about how you spent your summer.

    End of the Year Thoughts

    Dear Class,                   
     
    The end of 2nd grade is almost here.  Can you believe it? What will you miss about 2nd grade? You've worked hard this year and are ready for 3rd grade.  What are you looking forward to in 3rd grade?  Be sure to come back and visit me next year!

    PE Fun

    Dear Class,                          
    Every week I do PE with you.  I have so much fun seeing you enjoy the activities I plan!  We've practiced many skills while doing relays and team games.  I have tons more ideas to keep doing with you the rest of the year.  So far though, please share with me what you like best about PE.  Do you have a favorite game we played?  Tell me why you liked it. Or maybe you want to tell about something funny that happened during PE, because you know, PE is all about the fun.

    Gifts and Wishes

    Dear Class,
     
    As your teacher, I have many hopes and wishes for you.  During the holidays, many of you wish for gifts.  Here are the gifts I wish for you.  First, I wish you all true happiness in whatever you choose to do. Reaching your goals in the future starts now. 
    I think one of the most important gifts you can give yourself is just believing in yourself.  Second, I hope that one of the gifts I pass on to you as your teacher, is a constant love of learning.  It's so exciting to see you grow and learn. You are all so smart! Most of all, I need to tell you that you are a GIFT to me!
    Now here's the fun part.  Think about me, Miss Talbott, your teacher.  What gifts do you think you'd like me to receive?  Tell your reasons for the gifts you choose for me.

    Being Thankful

    Dear Class,

    There are lots of things I am thankful for.  First, I am very thankful that I am your teacher.  You are a wonderful, kind-hearted class.  I enjoy coming to work each and every day to teach you.  I am also thankful for my niece and nephew.  Being an aunt is so much fun!  I love cheering on my niece and nephew at all their sporting events. My nephew even got me to play soccer with him the other day, and he couldn't believe it!  Finally, I am grateful for the small treasures in life like, good friends and family,a wonderful book to read, a simple smile, and YOU!  Now it's your turn.Tell me everything you are thankful for.
