You can find some of my favorite quotes on my homepage. I would love to read one of your favorite quotes. It can be inspiring, comical, or thought-provoking, from a book, a movie, song lyrics, or something your parents told you etc... Please be sure to cite who the author is if you can find it, and include your first & last name and the period that you have PF. (It won't post until I approve it so don't send it twice unless you made an error) I'll start it off with a good opener to the school year...

I want to reiterate to you how important it is to maintain a healthy level of activity. It would be very beneficial for you to engage in moderate to vigorous activity 3-5 days a week. Your workout regimen should include Stretching (flexibility), Cardiovascular fitness, Muscular Strength, and Muscular Endurance activities.
What are your plans for staying fit in your time away from PF class?
If your blog includes a half page write up of an activity, or activities that you engage in over the break that are 30-60 minutes and include the workout principles above you will be rewarding yourself with a healthier body and mind, and can result in a "make up" participation or fitness day if thorough, complete, detailed, and demonstrates your intelligence and ability to articulate your wealth of fitness expertise :)
*Include your First and Last name and Period in the subject title and at the end of your blog entry for credit

As we begin the create-a-game unit I want you to think about the experience from last year and if you were successful last year what will you do that is similar, or if you were not successful what will you do differently? What do you think will be easy, and what challenges will you face as you progress through the unit?

Thus far we have learned the Pata Pata from South Africa performed by Miriam Makeba, the Mayim an Israeli celebration dance signifying the coming of rain, and the Alunelul or little hazelnut, a Romanian dance which requires quick, light feet. Leave a comment discussing what you have enjoyed, what you would like to change, learn next year, or just discuss some of your experiences. :)
