Each Christmas Notre Dame School adopts families to purchase Christmas gifts. This year the Kindergarten, First, and Second grader classes have adopted the same family. Each class has different family member(s) to shop for.
This family is living in an impoverished neighborhood with on-going gang activity. One of the children suffers from a heart condition requiring constant medical attention and the mother suffers from a life threatening illness. The children's goals include finishing school and hopefully going to college to be able to better their lives. These children have witnessed domestic violence in their home and want to break the cycle of poverty and abuse that they have endured. Your generosity will provide a happy holiday for this deserving family.

We're also putting together a food basket for the family. This family prefers to shop at FoodMaxx and gift cards can be purchased through scrip or you can donate no perishable items for the basket.
Gifts, gift cards or cash needs to be turned into the classroom by December 4th.
Please wrap clothing items and label who they are for.
Please bring in hygiene products, candles unwrapped.
Let's help to make this Christmas special!
Please respond to this blog so others know what has been purchased. The more gift cards the better, so don't worry if someone else has purchased a gift card.
