    The theme of our first unit in Reading is "Risks and Consequences".  Think about the stories we have read so far.

    What have you learned about the theme?  Choose one of the following questions and respond to it.  Give an example. When is a risk worth taking?  Are there times when we must take a risk to help others?  Can it be risky to make new friends?  What would the world be like if no one took risks?

    What do you think are the most important qualities in a friend?  Why are they important?  When you make new friends, do you look for these qualities?  Also, do you show these qualities to your friends? In other words, are you a good friend?  Explain your thoughts.
