    Week 3 Chapters 33-49

    Week 3  Chapters 33 - 49
    1. Mrs. Trepid experienced jealousy. How did jealousy effect her life? Can you talk about any other characters in the book that experienced jealousy?  Have you ever been jealous? 

    2. Lots of tough experiences taught Florida to be very mistrustful of adults. Does being mistrustful of Tiller and Sairy  help her?  Did you ever learn a way of behaving that helped you in one situation, but not in another?

    3. Which character in the story so far would you like to know or meet? Why?

    Week 2   Chapters 17 -32
    1. Dallas daydreams, picturing himself in beautiful places, doing exciting things. Where do you picture yourself in other places?  Doing what?

    2 Dallas and Florida are treated differently while staying with Tiller and Sairy. What were some of the changes they discovered. Do you think this may change their minds about running away? Why or why not?

    3. In chapter 30 everyone seemed to being having nightmares. Do you thing any of their dreams may come true? Why?
       Have you ever had a dream that came true? Could you describe it?

    Week 1 :      For chapters 1- 16
    1. What are some of the rules of the Boxton Creek Home? How do you feel about them?
        What are some of the punishments Dallas and Florida receive for breaking the rules?
    2. Why do you think Dallas is more eager to go with Tiller and Sairy than Florida? What is he excited about?
    3. When Florida and Dallas first arrive in Ruby Holler, they ask Tiller and Sairy a lot of questions about their new home.
        What do their questions tell or reveal about the other places they have lived?
