We have started our second quarter of school! It is a very busy time for everyone in school and out of school. Here at CHES we will be working hard. We will need to practice multiplication facts every day so that we can learn them up to 10 x 10 with fluency. We will also be learning our basic division facts, geometry terms for triangles and circles, and making change upto $5. In Language Arts we will be writing 2 paragraph papers to summarize and respond to what we read along with building vocabulary and fluency! I am excited to watch the students progress and become more and more independent with these skills.I know they will grow by leaps and bounds in the next few weeks. I am so proud of their hard working attitude and never ending curiosity.

We are starting our second week of school! This week we will be in our full classroom schedule. We worked into it gradually and I think the students are ready. Home work will begin to pick up as well but should take no more than 30- 40 minutes. I am very excited to get into normal school routine and watch the kids grow!

Well we have had two great days at "the Hill" The students are getting reaquainted with the rules and procedures of school and starting to get back into school mode. Our Open House is this Thursday at 7:00. I hope to see everyone there. I will go over expectations and curriculum as well as try to answer any pressing questions. Tomorrow I will continue to add academics into our day. Our day will gradually get into regular schedule and the hard work will begin!

I am enjoying getting to know the students. They are precious and we are going to have a wonderful year:)
