Tales from Outer Suburbia is a collection of stories turning the quirks of neighborhood mysteries into whimsical stories that are always enjoyable. Each story presents a different outlook on a strange occurence to the reader. From a stranger in a diving suit, to growing your own pet (from the ground), this book is full of fun, interesting ideas. It puts a new spin on the occasional out of place events in our neighborhoods we see all the time. The pictures are just to illustrate the story, and make sure you know that the book is literal, and not metaphorical. The book might be somewhat boring at times to a younger reader due to somewhat higher vocabulary, so I wouldn't reccomend the book to anyone lower than 6th grade. I like it very much. All in all, the book is fun and interesting. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
