    Dear Sr. Pessimist,

Good news!! More crap is on the way. That's called life! A positive attitude won't take away the challenges, changes, or negative people, but it does empower and equip you to deal with them in a better frame of mind, allowing you to move past the obstacle more quickly, reaping rewards rather than consequences. If you had to go into battle.... any kind of life battle, which attitude do you think will work more in your favor?  If your attitude was an employee, is it working for your or against your?  Think about it for a moment.  It's fine to test a positive attitude one time, but it's more powerful when you can use it consistently.  Make it a habit, something you (hopefuly) put on each day like your underwear.

A reader of Attitude Digest wrote in about having a positive attitude.  Pretend you work for Attitude Digest, respond in such a way that would change this persons' ATTITUDE!

    Dear Attitude Digest,

I tried having a positive attitude and it didn't work at all.  In fact, I still had more crap happen to me! I don't really think having a positive attitude makes a difference.  If bad stuff is still going to happen, what's the point?
