Guide Friday's discussion. Read and write about Charolette Perkins Gilman's "The Yellow Wallpaper". Then post questions you have about the text or topics/concepts you would like to discuss.

Feel free to use some of the theories you have heard from your peers' presentations.

We all have strengths and weaknesses when it comes to writing. Please look at the list of good writing traits . . . which one do you have and how have you developed that skill?

Then, consider what trait or skill you would like to develop over the next few months. What would you like to improve?

Students must answer both questions to receive credit.

We all know an effective essay when we see it, but when it comes to writing one ourselves, sometimes we fall flat.

Define one aspect of "good writing"  . . . if someone has written an effective paper, what is one element it needs to contain and describe WHY that element is important.

Welcome English 4-H students! In addition to participating in class, you are required to also participate on our online discussion board. Postings will occur periodically throughout the quarter, and you will be required to post at least one response per question. Feel free to comment only or pose questions yourself. To receive credit, be sure your responses are school appropriate and are in no way derogatory to someone else.

    Your first question:

Why is literature valuable? All countries have some sort of storytelling system. Why? Be sure to support your opinion.

Responses due by 11:59 pm, August 28th
