Compose a response to one of the following prompts below. Keep in mind that you will be evaluated on your spelling, grammar, and punctuation, as well as your ideas.

    Option #1:
If attending high school is a journey, then the ultimate destination is graduation. As you strive to cross that finish line, you'll face new experiences, building friendships, and even run into some frustrating roadblocks. As you consider this journey, what do you think is more important- reaching your goal and clutching that diploma in your hand, or taking time to appreciate the many moments (both good and bad) that will lead up to graduation day? Support your opinion.

    Option #2:
Think of books, movies, or TV shows that depict a journey of some sort- whether it's a quest to find a long-lost family member, a struggle to make it safely back home, or a mission to fulfill an important dream. What does the individual learn on the journey? Why is the journey valuable? Explain your opinions.

I will be introducing this paper this week, but I wanted to post in case I forgot. Please do not post until you hear the assignment.

Didn't see the author you wanted on the approved list? Request that an author be added! Just give me your name, the author's name, and describe why this person should be added. What books/stories have they written? What literary technique would you use? Those who support their opinions have a better chance of having their authors approved.

This is a request, and I do not guarantee your author will be approved. Final selection will be done Tuesday, October 20th in class. Also, remember that only one person per class is allowed to research the same author.
