With the holiday season quickly approaching, many people will be buying and giving gifts.  Imagine that you have been given $500 that you must spend; however, you cannot spend even one penny on yourself.  The entire amount must be used to make others happy.  How would you spend the money?  What would you buy?  Whom would you help out?  How many people can you make happy? Would you give your gifts anonymously?  In your writing, do not mention names.  Say things like "my little cousin," "a girl in my school," a family that I know," etc. Be generous, Santa!

I would like students to think seriously before responding to this post.  When you do respond, do not mention anyone's name. Instead, you can use "a boy," "several girls," or "some students."

Think about the climate here at LPMS.  The climate is the environment and what is going on at school.  Do you see any problems that need to be eliminated, or do you see things that you would like to change?  Do you see anyone bullying or being mean to others?   Do you hear rude and hurtful comments being addressed to other students?  Is there a lot of pressure to let others copy your work after you have worked hard to get your assignment finished?

On the other hand, are there kids who should be recognized for being good citizens, good students, and just overall nice people?  Are there students who are always willing to help others?  Are there students whom you admire because they are always polite and well-behaved in class? Be honest and mature in your comments.

If you accept the invitation to blog, remember that I expect you to use good writing skills.  I do not want to see, and I will not approve, "text talk."  Mrs. Deditch

Since my classes have studied and written poetry for a couple of weeks, I am interested in hearing my students' thoughts and opinions.  I would like to know which poems you enjoyed writing and which ones you are especially proud of.  If you accept my invitation to join the blog, I expect you to use good writing skills.  I do not want to see "text talk."  Mrs. Deditch
