    Interventions - Come Help us

    During this morning's Cypress Cove PTA Board meeting, the interventionist, Kerri Soo, who is at CCE Tuesdays and Thursdays introduced herself and the treasure trove of materials she recently acquired and needs some help organizing.  The intervention materials are meant to be a catalog of ways to help a student who may be struggling with a particular topic.  Some just need a couple of minutes worth of work while others are more time intensive (cutting, pasting, etc).

    To get her catalog off to a strong standing, we'll host two work days, Thursday October 15 and Thursday, October 22, for the duration of the school day.  Come for an hour or two as your day allows.  Copy room volunteers--if your copy room tasks are complete, feel free to grab a stack.  We'll be working in room 703, next door to the PTA room.

    Due to predicted thunderstorms, the Cypress Cove Elementary Beautification day scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 8 to 11AM, has been POSTPONED until Saturday, October 17, 8 to 11AM.  I apologize for any inconvenience.

    Down to The Wire - Send in chocolate money

    Tomorrow is the deadline for our worlds finest chocolate fundraiser funds to be turned in.  Please remit all funds to your child's teacher by Friday September 25th.  This has been a huge success, thank you all!

    Amazing!!!

    Everyone has done such a great job selling chocolate that we have obliterated our goal of $20,000 and our total as of 9/21/09 was $25,695!  We could not ask for more and your children will benefit greatly.

    Chocolate Explosion

    Well thanks to our amazing student body and all the great parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and the community we have already surpassed our Worlds Finest Chocolate fundraising goal of $20,000.  Our current total is $20,758.  GREAT Job everyone keep it up!
     

     
    The Race is still on for the classroom prize.  With a tight heat between the top 3 all within $50 of each other.

    We have been very impressed by everyone's enthusiasm with the chocolate sales.  We are nearing our goal at a great rate.  Currently you all have raised $16,415.45 which puts us at 82% of our goal!!!  Thank you all so much and keep up the good work.

    Have the Teachers Serve you Food

    SONIC NIGHT
     
    When: Tuesday September 15, 2009
                  4:00-9:00pm
     
    Where: Drive over to Sonic for dinner and help support Cypress Cove!
     
    What: This Tuesday only many of our Cypress Cove teachers and staff will be delivering the food to you!! All tips will go to the newly created SUPER SONIC SENSORY ROOM for enhancements. There will also be a raffle to win a CHARTERED FISHING trip with proceeds also going to the Super Sonic Sensory Room. Cypress Cove will still receive 10% of the sales!
     
    Just think how fun it would be to have a teacher deliver your dinner to you!
     
    So please come out Tuesday and support Cypress Cove and the Super Sonic Sensory room!!!!

    Thanks to the Terrific response to our World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser we are nearing our mid way point at only the end of the first week! Sales ending Sept. 11th where $8910!  We have also added a new classroom competition that you can read more about below.

    Worlds Finest Chocolate Fundraiser

    First thanks to all the parents that came out to the Kindergarten and PEI Open House last night at CCE.  We appreciate the approval of our 2009-2010 budget.  If you have any questions regarding the budget don't hesitate to contact us.

    CHOCOLATE
    Our big Fundraiser kicked off this week and is off to a huge success.  Currently we are out of chocolate and will be receiving a new shipment this Friday, Sept. 11th.  So keep up the good work your kids will benefit from every chocolate sold. 
     
    This helps fund PTA programs such as:
    1. The School Newsletter
    2. PTA Snack Days
    3. Large School projects
    4. Teacher Mini Grants (monies awarded to teachers who write grants for school programs or classroom enhancements.
    5. Teacher appreciation gifts and events
    6. First aid supplies and extra clothing for accidents
    7. Classroom Supplies
    8. And much more
