    12/5/2009 Today you started with your TEST on Slope Intercept Form of a Line Situations. After your test, you worked on handout Fraction Finder #1 and #2. The handout is NOT for homework.

    Homework:
    1. Spinoffs from Space project due Wednesday, December 9, 2009. If you need additional copies, you may purchase them from the school library.
    2. See Home Page - Announcements for Exam Schedule. Exams start Tuesday, December 15, 2009.

    12/3/2009 Today you started Daily Math...a situation: Pirate Peters Pirating Parties. We also reviewed handout 5.1 Practice (and another handout in 6th hour that wasn't reviewed earlier in the week).
     
    Homework:
    1. Work on the situations!!! A TEST will be Friday on situations. It will also include Practice 5.1 reviewed today.

    12/2/2009 Today you started Daily Math...a situation: Farmer Fiona's cows. Several additional situations were given with Farmer Felix and Farmer Fred. You also started a situation with Tire Salesman Tom.

    12/1/2009 Today you started Daily Math...a situation: Jacob's Plumbing Service charging $75 to show up and $45 per hour and some related questions. Then we continued reviewing the answers to last week's handouts. Both classes finished reviewing 4.2 Writing Equations: Slope & y-intercept (Practice) and one finished 4.2 Writing Equations: Slope & y-intercept (Homework).

    11/30/2009 Today you started Daily Math...a situation: Jenny earns $12 each day as a base rate and $6 per hour. Write an equation, identify the slope, what it represents, identify the y-intercept, and what it represents. Then we started reviewing the answers to last week's handouts. Both classes finished reviewing Aircraft Algebra and started Lesson 4.2 Writing Equations: Slope & y-intercept (Practice).

    Homework
    1. QUIZ tomorrow on Graphing lines using slopes, points, and y-intercept. The QUIZ will be all graphing and will include the following:
    • Given 2 points, graph the line. (2 of these)
    • Given a point and a slope, graph the line. (2 of these)
    • Given a slope and a y-intercept, graph the line. (2 of these)
    • Given an equation, graph the line. You should do this by identifying the y-intercept and the slope. (3 of these)
